Vietnam is facing an unprecedented wave of strong investment in large-scale high-speed railway projects. This is an opportunity for domestic enterprises to participate more deeply, gradually mastering modern technology and technical processes.

Currently, there are 3 types of high-speed railways in the world: Rail-based; Maglev; and Hyperloop. In Vietnam, it is recommended that high-speed railways choose rail-based technology to ensure reliability, efficiency, and technological mastery.

In recent years, with the development of science and technology, high-speed railway (HSR) technology has made great strides, from running on rails to running on magnetic levitation and now running in tubes, with speeds up to thousands of kilometers per hour... This article provides an overview of HSR technology in the world and its application potential in Vietnam.

The North-South high-speed railway is 1,541 km long, of which the section through Hanoi is 27.9 km long with the land area recovered to implement the project being about 112.74 hectares.

With experience in railways, airways, roads, and waterways in the US, Europe, China, and ASEAN, Associate Professor Dr. Vo Tri Hao recognized the outstanding advantages of high-speed railways, to answer the question of why the North-South high-speed railway should be deployed soon.
